Music Technology Courses for teachers

Many traditional music teachers are intimidated by the present requirements for teaching music using ICT and, understandably, suffer angst in contemplating learning new technology.	We are aware of the requirements of the National Curriculum and can acquaint you with programs suitable for administering the ICT prerequisites of the National Curriculum.
Often presented by a musician or a computer specialist or a teacher, materials and guidance offered fail to meet the needs of the classroom teacher.	Training can be provided on the best of modern software used for creating, arranging, sequencing, printing, and recording of music, and how to use it in your classroom.

Our course tutor

Mike Lockey is Internationally known for his capable musical performances,  compositions and knowledge of Music Technology.  He has broadcast on Radio and TV and recorded his music.  He was awarded the Plato Award in 1999 for Creative Use of ICT.  He is a Registered Programmer with Microsoft and has written many  programs for his teaching for various computers.  He has taught in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary environments including  conducting courses for music teachers and lecturers,  and his own pupils to Grade 8.  He is also a  capable conductor, arranger, adjudicator  and an expert with recorders and wind bands.  His compositions, wind bands, instrumentalists,  singers and recorder ensembles and soloists  have been placed first in music festivals on numerous occasions.  He has conducted courses and with worked with people of all ages  from nursery to college lecturer and owns his own studio  and performance equipment. His MIDI files are Internationally acclaimed.
